Hi There, I’m Courtney! Director and founder of Cork & Co Accounting.  

I am a Chartered Accountant (CA) & Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with over a decade experience in Public Practice. 

I kicked off my accounting career with Gary Telfer at Telfer & Associates, where I spent over 12 years learning the ropes and crunching numbers. When Gary decided it was time to put the calculator down for good, I had the chance to take on part of his client base - and just like that, Cork & Co Accounting began!

Over the years, I’ve noticed a common theme; business owners are amazing at what they do, but when it comes to bookkeeping and finances? It’s often in the "too hard" basket. And I get it! Running a business is full-on, and sorting through financial reports isn’t exactly everyone’s idea of a good time. That’s where I come in. I love helping people feel confident with their numbers, and giving them the tools they need to actually understand their financials, not just file them.

But it’s not just about businesses. I believe financial literacy is something everyone should have. Whether you’re launching a startup, figuring out your budget, or just trying to get your head around tax time - I’m here to help. It’s never too late to learn, and it doesn’t have to be boring or overwhelming.

While I do work a lot with small businesses, my goal is simple: to help all my clients kick financial goals; whether that’s growing an investment portfolio, planning for retirement, or just feeling more in control of your money, I want to take the financial stress away. One of my favourite things about what I do is getting to know my clients year after year. I genuinely enjoy hearing your life updates; the holidays, the new homes, the babies, the big dreams. It’s those personal connections that make this more than just a job.

At Cork & Co Accounting, I want people to know we do more than lodge tax returns - we build partnerships, boost confidence, and celebrate your wins, big or small. I want finance to feel a little less scary and a lot more empowering. 

Away from work I am a caffeine dependent margarita enthusiast, avid camper and book lover; known to frequent a beach camp with a book in one hand and a tequila soda in the other.
